We'll begin our walk through over 800 years of history at the north end of the Medieval Mile, in the shadow of St. Canice's Cathedral in an area known as Irishtown. From there, you'll see and hear the stories of:
St. Canice's Cathedral & Round Tower, The Black Abbey, Rothe House & Gardens, the Franciscian Abbey, Smithwicks Ale and the history of brewing in Kilkenny, St. Kieran's Street, Keytler's Inn, The Butter Slip, the Anglo-Norman and Irish mercantile families of High Street, the Tholsel, St. Mary's Church & the Medieval Mile Museum, Canal Square and the Hurling Statue, Rose Inn Street and the Shee Almshouse, Kilkenny Design & Craft Yard, the Butler House & Gardens and of course Kilkenny Castle.
